The University of Greater Manchester is a public university in Bolton, Greater Manchester in England. It was known as the University of Bolton from 2005 until 2024. The university is commonly referred to as a 'post-92' institution, which is a reference to the Further and Higher Education Act 1992. It has approximately 11,000 students and more than 900 academic and professional staff.
